The Department of Energy and The Medical University of South Carolina's national initiative Community Leaders Institute (CLI) hosted by Eco-Logic, Miles College and Birmingham Citizens Advisory Board at Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama on Friday, May 18th, 2012 and Saturday May 19th, 2012!

The purpose of the Institute is to emphasize and reinforce the unique relationship between federal, state and local government along with environmental protection, human health, environmental justice, and economic development as an essential part of community development. CLI wants to inform citizens and empower them with the tools to help secure federal access, support and funding to ensure all communities have the essential infrastructure to thrive. 

CLI is comprised of two phases. Phase one consist of informative panels, networking and lunch so participants may share ideas and possibly collaborate to improve their communities. The second phase is a FREE grant writing and technical assistance workshop that only phase one attendees are invited to attend in the Fall.  

Feel free to invite your neighbors, church members, and colleagues who you think may benefit from the networking, grant writing and technical assistance workshop opportunities.


Registration is FREE but participants are expected to share information in their communities.
